Gobica is an experimental project where we explored possible reuse scenarios for various locally sourced waste materials. The sitting mat was designed and made for wine bar Kletvica, where we used sponge cutoffs, an old parachute, and canvas cutoffs. Although the material was locally sourced and produced, we faced several challenges working with the chosen materials due to their inherent disadvantages. The main goal was to transform waste material into a useful product with a unique look, that would compliment the interrior of the wine bar designed by Skuptura architects.
